Privacy policy

This policy explains what RespLabs Medical USA Inc. ("resplabs", "we", "us") collects when you visit resplabs.com, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email info@resplabs.com.
The short version
- resplabs.com is an information site. We don't take orders or payments here. Every "Buy on Amazon" button sends you to Amazon.com or Amazon.ca, where Amazon's privacy policy applies.
- We don't run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or third-party analytics cookies on this site.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- If you bought from our old Shopify store (2023 to 2026) we still hold your order history so we can honour returns, warranty claims and support requests.
What we collect on this site
Nothing you type. There are no forms, accounts or checkout on resplabs.com.
Browser storage. If you tell us you'd rather shop on Amazon.ca, we remember that choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. It never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Hosting logs. Like every web host, ours records the IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of each request for security and capacity purposes. These logs are kept for a short period and are not combined with any other data about you.
Amazon Attribution links. Some links to Amazon carry a tag that tells Amazon the visit came from resplabs.com. Amazon reports back aggregate numbers only (clicks, orders, sales totals). We never see who clicked. Amazon's handling of that data is covered by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request (with your IP address) to Google when the page loads. Google's privacy policy covers that request.
What we hold from past purchases
Before September 2026, resplabs.com ran on Shopify and took orders directly. We keep the records from that period: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone, order history and the last four digits of the payment card (Shopify never gave us full card numbers). We keep them because we're required to for tax and accounting, and because customers still contact us about those orders. Marketing email to those customers has stopped. If you want that record deleted, ask (see "Your rights" below) and we'll delete everything not required by law.
Email and support
When you email or call us we keep the correspondence so we can help you next time. Support staff see it. We don't add you to a marketing list because you asked a question.
Who else sees your data
Only providers who run part of the service for us, under contract, and only what they need:
- Our hosting, email and phone providers
- Amazon (when you buy through Amazon, Amazon is the seller-facing platform and the merchant of record for that transaction)
- Our accountants, lawyers and insurers where a specific matter requires it
- Law enforcement or regulators when the law requires it
We don't sell personal information. We don't rent lists. We don't share with data brokers.
Cookies
resplabs.com sets no cookies of its own. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Third-party services linked from this site (Amazon, Google Fonts) set their own cookies under their own policies once you're on their domains.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. We extend these rights to everyone, not only where the law requires it.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You can request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected, ask us to delete it, ask us to correct it, and you won't be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is no opt-out to exercise. We haven't sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months. You can use an authorised agent; we'll ask the agent for proof you authorised them.
- Canadian residents (PIPEDA and provincial law). You can ask what we hold, why, who we've disclosed it to, and request correction. Our parent company is RespLabs Medical Inc. of Coquitlam, British Columbia. Data may be stored or processed in the United States, where it is subject to US law.
- EU, UK and Swiss residents. We don't ship there and don't target those markets. If you're reading this from Europe, the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection all apply, and you can complain to your local supervisory authority.
- Everyone else. Same rights, on request.
To exercise any of these, email info@resplabs.com or call 1-888-709-7377. We'll verify you're the person the record belongs to (usually by replying to the email on file) and respond within 30 days, or 45 days for California requests as the law allows. No fee.
Children
This site is for adults managing their own sleep apnea therapy. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Support and order records are kept in business systems with multi-factor authentication and access limited to staff who need them. The site itself stores nothing about you on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and if we ever have a breach affecting your data we'll tell you as the law requires.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control signals by default because we already don't sell or share personal information. There's nothing to switch off.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use data you've already given us will be emailed to affected customers first.
